Senate Award Your Social Marketer, Inc Awarded with the 2009 Media Award by the Child Abuse Prevention Council. I was very honored to receive this award for my work on the Pathways to Safety Initiative in Monterey County .

Your Social Marketer, Inc gains national recognition for excellence in community communications and outreach (ECCO).
Work provided on behalf of Monterey County ’s System of Care: La Familia Sana/The Healthy Family was nationally recognized for achievement in communications at the 2008 Excellence in Community Communications and Outreach (ECCO) Recognition Program, which took place on July 18 in Nashville . The ECCO Recognition Program highlights communications achievements that promote children’s mental health. Our client, the Behavioral Health Division of the Monterey County Health Department, as part of Monterey County ’s System of Care: La Familia Sana-The Healthy Family, was recognized with the following awards:
  • Community Outreach: Parents & Caregivers for the website: www.mcsystemofcare.org
  • Professional Outreach for a community outreach event hosted at Maya Cinemas.
  • Partnership Development for the “Score Card Report” a community-friendly evaluation report showcasing outcomes for children and youth impacted by mental health challenges in Monterey County.Click here to view a copy of the report.

Your Social Marketer, Inc wins national ECCO award for Personal Story DVD
The movies on the DVD were developed by youth and parents and tell their personal stories of struggle with and recovery from mental health challenges. The stories tell the journey of young people impacted by violence, substance abuse, rape and anger. They speak about the emotional impact a divorce or death of a parent can have on a young person, about gang involvement. About the importance of finding someone that believes in you and your ability to change, to recover, to leave the past behind and grow stronger because of it. To view sample stories click here.
